In the barbershop world, there are a few choruses that embody the word “champions.” It doesn’t always mean they’ve won an actual championship, but they have a culture and a commitment to the organization in such a manner that they come to represent the whole of the organization at large. In Harmony, Inc., one of these chapters, without a hint of doubt, is the Village Vocal Chords. The VVCs are the heart and soul of Harmony, Inc. The VVC risers are filled with musical leaders and organizational leaders….queens, presidents, judges, and all around amazing women.
So, naturally, Epic wants to be them when we grow up.
We had the immense blessing to be the guest quartet on their show a few days ago. We are still riding high on the experience. It was just so fun. Our hearts are full.
A big thanks goes out to the show planning committee and our good-natured host, Ruth. In such a short span of time, and in true Epic fashion, we managed to make some new friends at a liquor store and prank Anne in a Target parking lot with the lovely Ruth at our side. Whether she likes it or not, we’re now bonded for life!
(BTW, some of these shenanigans with “bad influence” Ruth are, indeed, recorded for posterity purposes.)
